My First Game

Okay, so starting in there could have been a queue, but the queue goes very fast. Seemed like just a fake placeholder number. I think there could be some looking into if those numbers are really what they say they are.

Moving on the game ran grate on my pc with a RTX 5080, however the game does start with a minimal graphics settings. I didn’t realize at first but the game looked fuzzy but once I got into the advanced graphics settings I was able to tinker around and get the rendering resolution to be at 4k. Once that was done the game looked amazing. I think there is still some work to be done though.

Overall the game runs quite well at 4k Ultra Settings on my pc, which has a few older components in it. However, I did experience a blue screen crash and 2 game crashes.

Deep dive into gameplay specifics

Battlefield is a large scale capture the flag, or areas with limited resources. There are also other game modes such as the classics, Deathmatch, Domination, Free for all. However, in the beta there is a game mode called Warfare.

Warfare is like Rush where the attacking team gets a limited amount of lives and the defending team gets unlimited lives to defend the either 2 or 1 points in a section. I think the difference is the amount of lives that are regenerated when the attackers completely capture all points. I think that attacking is the more difficult take, and requires teamwork along with skill.

Comparing from previous battlefield games

In my opinion I think this game has aspects of some of the previous games weaved into it. The movement and gun play of BF3, the required teamwork of BF4, the stunning visuals of BF2042, the shift in pace and limited amount of weapons like in BF1, and making games feel well earned like BF5.

So compared to the other games I think there is something that needs to be said, the shift of gameplay does not mean that the game is going to be that”boots on the ground” i hated that term when it was used in fps games around 2017. I think this game has the aspects of it but makes it enjoyable. I didn’t mind being a foot solider, but tanks and other vehicles are fun to also take command.

There is also a limited amount of weapons but something that has been going on recently is the addition of new weapons in added to the game within the battle pass later after the game launch, so I expected there to be more weapons.

What I expect to see in the next beta test and in the game.

Firstly, the addition of more weapons, and at minimum of 2 more maps if this game follows the same release structure of Battlefield 2042.

Another thing I expect to see in the second Beta test is streamers running around trying to get highlights and loads of kills. You know that there is always a clip of “that guy” somehow has cracked the code of movement and is running around capture points causing havoc like Kalvin Phillips in the midfield. I also predict there to be more snipers on the battfieild. I think players are going to be more willing to explore the different things the game has to offer such as the different guns and attachments before the actual launch on 10-10-25.

There is also supposed to be a new map added to the playlist of maps in the beta on 8-14 – 8-17.

Things I took away from the first beta test.

The main thing I noticed was that the gameplay had a feeling of an older call of duty game. Things like movement, gunplay had a slow with grippyer feel. You don’t feel out of control. This doesn’t make you feel like you are flying through the map like a fighter jet, unless you are flying one.

Another thing that I noticed was the maps were not as big as some of the larger maps in BF4, however I think this ties in well with the slower feeling movement etc.

I don’t know the exact measurements of the maps but the opportunities to get involved in many encounters while fighting to get from capture point to capture point is something that requires teamwork. There is also the possibility to be on one point and be shot at or shoot at while being on another point, with a assault rifle might I add.

Is battlefield 6 good?

Overall from my short time playing the Beta, I think there is potential for it to be a good game and shift the FPS genre.

Assuming that the game has a set time for release, and that there will be more maps to play at launch, and a rumored campaign there could be the enough value in that for someone to buy this game at the steep price point of $69.99.
